What Maré is
Before being a rental site, Maré is a guide. We mapped the entire Algarve — coastlines, municipalities, towns and beaches — and gave each place its own page, with real context: what defines the area, which beaches are nearby, when to go and how to get there. It is real travel content, not a shop window of listings.
When it is time to choose where to sleep, we show the best places to stay in that area and take the booking to the best price, directly and securely. Information first; the stay after — always on the traveller's side.

Founded in 2020, Maré was created by Anderson Melo, an SEO consultant with over 11 years of experience across Portugal, Spain, the United States and Brazil. The idea came from a concrete frustration: planning a holiday in the Algarve meant jumping between generic guides, maps and platforms full of fees.
Anderson designed Maré to be the opposite of that — a rigorous portal, with verified information and an architecture thought through to the detail.
