Data controller
Last updated: 26 June 2026.
The controller of your personal data is Anderson Melo (Anderson Melo SEO), controller of the marealgarve.com website, reachable by email at andersonmeloseo@gmail.com and via andersonmeloseo.com.br.
This policy explains what data we collect, for what purposes, on what legal basis, with whom we share it and what your rights are under the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and applicable Portuguese law (Law no. 58/2019).
What data we collect
We collect only the data needed to respond to your request:
- Contact details you provide in the forms or chat: name, email, phone and the message/request you write.
- Browsing and attribution data: when you click a 'View on Homing' button, we record the IP address, date and time, the source page and the type of request, for measurement and fraud-prevention purposes.
- Preferences saved on your device (local storage): search filters and the record of your cookie choice. See the Cookie Policy.
We do not collect special categories of data (health, opinions, etc.) and we ask that you do not include any in your messages.
How we use the data and on what basis
We process your data for the following purposes and legal bases (Article 6 GDPR):
- To respond to your request and contact you about accommodation in the Algarve — based on your consent (Art. 6(1)(a)) and the pre-contractual steps you request (Art. 6(1)(b)).
- To forward your request to partner companies in the accommodation sector so they can reply to you — based on your consent.
- Security, fraud prevention and performance measurement (recording attribution clicks) — based on our legitimate interest (Art. 6(1)(f)).
- To comply with legal obligations to which we are subject.
With whom we share the data
Your data may be disclosed to:
- Partner companies in the accommodation sector in the Algarve, so they can respond to your contact request.
- Technical service providers acting on our behalf (processors): site hosting (Hostinger), email service and the contact management platform GoHighLevel/LeadConnector (chat).
- Homing Portugal, when you choose to proceed to book — that platform's privacy policy then applies.
We do not sell your data to third parties unconnected with the request you make to us.
International transfers
The chat feature uses the GoHighLevel/LeadConnector platform, with servers in the United States. If you use it, the data you enter may be transferred outside the European Economic Area, under appropriate safeguards (the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses). If you do not consent, do not use the chat — you can contact us via the form or by email.
How long we keep the data
We keep contact data only for as long as necessary to manage your request and the resulting relationship and, thereafter, for the periods required by law. Technical attribution records are kept for a limited period and then deleted or anonymised. Once the periods end, the data is erased.
Your rights
Under the GDPR, you have the right to:
- Access your data and obtain a copy;
- Rectify incorrect or incomplete data;
- Erase your data ('right to be forgotten');
- Restrict or object to the processing;
- Request the portability of the data;
- Withdraw consent at any time, without affecting the lawfulness of prior processing.
To exercise any of these rights, contact us by email at andersonmeloseo@gmail.com. We will respond within the legal time limit. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the supervisory authority: the Portuguese National Data Protection Commission (CNPD) — www.cnpd.pt.
Security and minors
We adopt technical and organisational measures to protect your data, including an encrypted connection (HTTPS). Even so, no system is entirely impenetrable.
This site is not directed at minors under 16 and does not knowingly collect their data. If you believe a minor has provided us with data, contact us so we can delete it.
Cookies and changes
To find out which cookies and storage we use, see the Cookie Policy.
We may update this policy whenever necessary. The date of the last update appears at the top of this page.
